A 35-year-old suspected human parts dealer has been arrested by the police in Niger State, in possession of a human eyeball.
Dailytrust reports that Shuaibu Ibrahim was apprehended yesterday. The police said the eyeball was removed from a victim of communal clash between the Igbira and Bassa people in Nasarawa State.
The suspect had been trafficking in human parts for about five years before he ran out of luck yesterday. He was said to have been given the part by an accomplice identified as Ojo (now at large) to sell in Niger State at the cost of N250,000.
The suspect confirmed to journalists that he was an intermediary between Ojo and the buyers. “My job is to deliver human parts given to me by Ojo to his clients across the northern states. We make quick money in this business but I cannot tell what the buyers use them for,” he said.
